Hi and Welcome, Oh yeah, I know what you mean....the spectre just outside of view is always there. It just takes time. Every time I get a cough, or weakness, I have to try very hard not to panic. I just clicked over my 7 year mark of being cancer free, but the thought is always there. I don't know what to tell you about the family, mine has always been very ...

I was diagnosed with lung cancer in Feb., 2005. In March I had the entire left lung removed and started chemo in May. Those days are like a blur to me. You live them, but you can't believe it. I never knew anyone could survive lung cancer. After the chemo, when you are not actively fighting any longer is the worst. The waiting and waiting. But, the days go ...

I found out about my lung cancer in April 2003. The doctors here in my state could not help me at all and told me to go home and get my affairs in order. I had non-small ademacarcinoma stage 1 B. Which was treatable, but they did not have the gamma knife to help me as my tumor was to close to my heart.
When my MD from CA, Loma Linda VA found out about this she...

Replying to: lung cancer It will get easier as time goes on. I had my left lung removed in '98 because of adenocarcinoma. Then 6 years ago it came back in my right lung. The doctors couldn't operate so they tried radiation which didn't work. I then started chemo which lasted for 5 months. My oncologist told me when I started the chemo that it wasn't a cure and that I only had between 6 months to 2 years left if I was...
