Thread: links are kING or is content King?

I have heard so it seems both sids of the story. Is this just a matter of opinion or is this a good argument?

Good content will attract natural links.

I think links is the King and content the queen. You need links to score in google, but you need content to score on the right keywords

without some decent content it is hard to attract the 'best' links. You can buy links all day long but I have seen sites get natural links from sites like The department of energy and forbes magazine online, etc...

Obviously, good content will also keep viewers on your site longer. More time for them to click on any Ad Sense or paid advertising you have placed there. Bottom line is $$ is king!

IMHO, both are equally important. Neglect one and work on one, and your site will fail.

I think the focus should be on content first . Good content will assist then with your link building; if you post links in the right places and other users find the content relevant then they will take your link and post it elsewhere for you.
