How are you trying to install it? Why that is a tar file?
Fedora 10 will be end of life soon.
Have you tried?:

Dear,
I'm using fedora10 FEL. My tool works correctlry with gcc-4.2. Currently my system is having gcc-4.3.
I'm not able to install gcc-4.2 on my system.
Can I get help regarding this?

Dear,
I also do have gcc-4.4 on my system. But tool doesn't work corretly with it. That's so why I need older version of gcc i.e, gcc-4.2. But I'm not able to figure out how can I do it?
