Thread: iastor.sys 0xc0000359 error with x64 operating systems using MDT 2008 Up1 and MDT 2010 RC

First, I should inform everyone that my LiteTouchPE_x64 images (wim and iso) are booting up fine and I only see the Task Sequences that have a x64 OS platform designation so atleast the WinPE part is working. The iastor.sys 0xc0000359 error occurs during the first reboot after receiving/appling the os image.  All of my x86 images are working fine including both Vista and Windows 7. Hi,   The can occur if this mass storage drive driver is corrupt or not compatible with the system.   Please contact the mass storage drive’s manufacturer to obtain the latest driver. Tim, You were right. I went ahead and downloaded the latest version of the Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager Driver 8.9.0.1023 and for testing purposes, only added the x64 bit version of the driver to the MDT Out-of-Box Drivers node. Plus, I only allowed that one driver to be available during the Inject Drivers task by creating a Selection Profile (MDT 2010) and only included that one driver. ...
