Thread: i am not a sci fi fan - will i still like this?

Started 3 months ago by SMUTTYSMITH
Hey , i am a major tv box set fan and am running out of good tv to watch . I am not a sci fi fan , mainly because the jargon normally goes over my head , but i keep hear people going on about how good this is and it is not as deeply sci fi as similar programmes are. could anyone give me a heads up if i should try this or not? Thanks

There is little techno jargon in this, as it is basically a story and character driven series. So yes, try it. One advise though, I have seen few series where characters are as damaged as in this one, this is a good or a bad thing depending your pick

Give it a go you will be surprised. There's so much nudity on TV today... I just sit there shaking my fist.

My wife had no interest in sci-fi and it took me a long time to get her to watch the show. When she did, she quickly became a fan. So yes, you will like it. :) There's so little jargon that you probably won't even notice it. It's about the characters, not spaceships.

It is one of the best character-driven dramas ever. It also happens to be set in space, but that's mostly irrelevant.
