Anyone else? It is SO NICE OUTSIDE and I would LOVE to go out for a run. I had to stop running at 6 weeks cause every time I would run I'd bleed, and since then I've been "confined" to the elliptical or to walking on the treadmill. I swear as soon as I am healed after having this kid I am taking a nice LONG run (well provided I have any endurance left haha)
Too bad I get winded just going ...
I know what you mean, fall/winter was my favorite time to run. I'm excited to start it again though once LO is here. I'm going to try and give myself 9months to get back into it and get ready for another marathon in 2011
I miss it too! I quit when I was 8 weeks because I am clumsy and was worried I would fall. Walking just doesn't cut it. I get very jealous seeing people going for a run! Just a little while longer! :)
I ran the ING half marathon the day before I found out I was preggo. I ran like 3 miles the weekend afterward. My OB told me to keep my heart rate under 140. According to my Polar F11, I'd run at an "average" of like 165-170. So neddless to say, I stopped. Hopefully I can start back on it in March and be ready for the 2011 ING.
I like the stress relief that I get only when I jog. Can't wait to be able to do that again! I tried like 4 weeks ago. I was walking outside for exercise, and I felt so great, that I thought I'd try to jog a little. I got a little less than a half of a block, and started feeling contractions. I quickly went inside, and put my feet up with a big glass of water. I don't know what I was thinking!
I miss running and I was the devout runner at work, and now there's a few of them who are now doing races. My sibblings constantly talk about their next race, and all I can say is that I'm going to train for the Nike half next year. It's my favorite exercise and it does relax me. I've had vivid dreams about running and finishing races during my 2nd trimester and it made me feel good. When I ...
I lost the majority of my weight running. I loved it because it's only me and my music. I would jog everyday. I live across the street from Central Park.
I miss it too, had to give it up a tthe end of my second trimester because baby was getting to heavy and felt like he was sloshing around in there. I cannot wait to get back to it. Although, once you stop it's an uphill battle to get back to where you were....I just hate knowing I stopped when running 5 miles and it will probably take me forever to get back there.
I was never a consistent runner and now I realize how much I miss it. My favorite time to run is in the fall, after the time changes and it's light at 6 AM...and now I find myself getting winded climbing up the 16 stairs to my bedroom...20+ days left!
Oh, I miss running! I was training for a half when I started spotting after every run. So sad-to go from 9 miles to none. I am going to be pathetic after baby comes trying to build back up-but my dh has started running since I've stopped, so maybe he can motivate me. :)
