Hello there, Do you have your iPod set up to manually manage your music and videos or do you sync it automatically? If you are syncing them automatically, do you have your iPod set up to sync movies? I'm assuming your manually managing your iPod's contents, due to the fact that you are dragging the movies to your iPod in iTunes. What format are the videos you are trying to sync to your iPod? I thought you had surrendered Actually there are two kinds of messages when itunes has launched, they are in French, so it is not exactly the standard English message, but here's the meaning : either it's "a required file is missing", or "an ipod has been detected, but incorrectly identified. Please disconnect and reconnect it again, then try again". It seems to me that a file, or software is interfering......

I recently installed the latest update for itunes 9 and ever since then, I have been having trouble syncing my ipod. I have reset it to factory setting through disk mode and that didn't work. I have tried recreating my itunes library and that didn't work. I have also tried restoring it and yet I still can't get my ipod to sync. I have also completely uninstalled itunes from my computer and reinstalled it and yet my ipod still...

ok another update, i can now get it into recovery mode and i cant click the restore button on itunes, but it stops and says 1429 error. what do i do? Hp Pavilion   Windows XP
