I'm seeing the same problem with my iPod Nano 3G and Windows 7 x64. It syncs OK when the Nano is first plugged in, but if I leave it plugged in it will either disappear in iTunes or, if it is still showing, I'm unable to successfully sync. (iTunes still thinks the iPod is connected, but the iPod doesn't act like it is connected on its screen.) The only way I've been able to ...

I think you hit it on the head there. It sees it as a drive and not an ipod and itunes doesnt get it passed. I put in a bug report. Hopefully someone looks at it soon. Custom Build Other OS...

Hey guys! I was in the same boat as all of you, but I was sure their had to be a solution to this problem. I found a solution that worked for me! Ive got the Windows 7 64bit, and my ipod is sycning as we speak! Follow these steps. 1. Disconnect your iPod Shuffle from your PC 2. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL, start the Task-Manager, go to Processes and end the process for "ITunesHelper.exe" ...

i figured this one out. if you have all your music on your new computer its an easy fix. restoring your ipod to factory settings will delete all your music but then all you need to do is sync it. it will work as it reinstalls all new software to your ipod so it will work with the new computer. ( note: i do not know about mac to pc and vice versa) i changed from windows xp to vista home...

I am having an issue...... I have a 5th gen video iPOD. It is one of the older 30GB. Still works good....no big issues, but I have had one issue lately that is odd. I have had some artists and albums starting to fall off my iTUNES library. There are albums I know I had uploaded and they are simply starting to vanish. I went to listen to a band earlier that I had a few albums of theirs ...

I have an 80 GB Ipod 5th Gen and when attempting to sync, every time it stops at a different song and gives me the error "Attempting to copy the disk "iPod" failed. An unknown error occurred (-53)". when I initially plug it in windows tries to scan and fix the disk... I tried letting it but it never completes it. It gets stuck too... I have tried the basic troubleshooting steps, ...

Hello there, Do you have your iPod set up to manually manage your music and videos or do you sync it automatically? If you are syncing them automatically, do you have your iPod set up to sync movies? I'm assuming your manually managing your iPod's contents, due to the fact that you are dragging the movies to your iPod in iTunes. What format are the videos you are trying to sync to your iPod? Do the movies play OK in iTunes? Just a...

Please disconnect and reconnect it again, then try again". It seems to me that a file, or software is interfering......

I have tried recreating my itunes library and that didn't work. I have also tried restoring it and yet I still can't get my ipod to sync. I have also completely uninstalled itunes from my computer and reinstalled it and yet my ipod still...
