Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by mossme89

If there is a passcode, they ask for it (and if you don't give it, you are written up for insubordination). Is there anything in Cydia that would allow for a data self destruct? I don't mean for my phone to blow up, but if my passcode is 1535, could i set the phone to erase all data if, ...

I cannot help you with youre issue, however after reading your problem, I wanted to ask you where (state or country, not address) you live, where they are allowed to do such a thing. I know here in GA, in the USA that would be very very unethical, and possibly unconstitutional. Im just curious.

It sounds like your school does not allow cell phones. Here's a crazy idea, obey the rules.

It actually sounds like the school allows phones, but wants to make sure the students haven't got any "questionable" content on there. OP, I can't help you, maybe a custom profile...

Hehe it's ironic how a bunch of iPhone jailbreakers/hackers are telling another guy to follow the rules...

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but mobileme has a remote wipe feature as part of the "find my iphone" thing. If you have mobileme, you could run to a computer in the library on a passing period, login to mobileme, and remote wipe it... Not sure of other remote wipe apps out there, surely there are some.

There's a PIN for a reason, they don't have any right to look through your phone, if there's content on there they allow or not.

Another idea is to just hide all your apps that they would be searching in with SBSettings. This way they can't even find them If you want to access them you can just unhide them or search for them with Spotlight. I'm assuming it's probably Messages or Safari you're worried about. You can turn off browsing history in Safari and hide Messages and download TextPlus and say you...

Ok I don't think anyone is really interested in using this but I got bored and wanted to finish this just to see if it worked. Create a text file at /Applications/Panic.app/filelist.txt and list all the files and directories you want to hide. Don't worry about spaces or anything, just make a normal list with the full path to the files/directories like: /var/mobile/myfile /var/mobile/my directory Put this script in...
