I did the same mods to my pump off of west texas offroad site and the pump works real good, i only went a drill size larger tho. I have a 2x8 ram, 3/8 x 48 hoses , a cap from ems and the other cap tapped. Seems to work good but it works much better with ams oil syn fluid, mine doesnt work to full potential until it runs at 1000 rpms. Check the drill size you used and did you remove the shim ...

Did you make your reservoir larger and add a cooler...? Ive read a quart to 1 1/2 is enuff extra... if i remember correctly i was told to jack the wheels up high and turn it to the right at full lock and jog it back and forth to bleed it fully.

Didn't see it posted but what ram are you running? My first ram was a surplus center ram and I did all the wto mods with the same results. I went with the psc ram and got rid of all the problems. Also I make 100% sure that you got all the air out, it takes forever.

PABOY: Crazy questions but did you have any air in the system that might cause the lack of flow? Pop that cap off and see any foam in the system?

What bore size is the ram? 2? 2.5? I got a 1.5 bore size , factory saginaw can , factory pump and my turns like a dream. If your ram is too big with assist it will be slooow

Like everyone said on here put it up on jacks and turn the wheels back and forth. When you think you have it work it back and forth for another 10 min. You'll get there eventually but it takes alot longer than you think it would.

If it works at mid level RPMs it would seem your pump doesnt flow enough until it reaches its peak flow rpm. Maybe try a smaller P/S pulley.
