Im not open with either of my parents never have been

the past few days this has been really getting to me. to make a long story short, i see so many of my friends that have such open relationships with their parents. definitely the majority of my friends would tell their parents about awkward things, like love interests, personal problems, even sexual things like losing their virginity or flat out asking their mom for advice giving head. to me this seems so ridiculous that i'm afraid people...

I feel the same way. I think that it's less common than you think it is. I hate telling my parents a lot of stuff. I just started telling them when my friends are bugging me, yeah, srsly. Not telling them about boyfriends and stuff really creates a lot of problems, but yeah... I'm not close with my parents at all.

I'm really open with my mum. But not open at all with my dad.

im very open to my parents (esp. my dad) with regards to money, love, sports, health, food... but not much in sex thing. kinda awkward. although he randomly  advise me to carry a "protection"  just in case.   hehe !

How open do I wanna be with my parents, really I wish they would let me be open but they don't care to hear anyting. Even if it has nothing to do with any of those things. So if it was up to me Id be open but its not.

It depends on my mood lol. If I'm in a good mood I'm pretty open with anything, if not then you won't get a single word out of me.

I'm selectively open. Romantic interests pretty much no one, including friends, finds out about until something happens, and my parents will find out if they ask once there's a legitimate relationship. Anything dealing with problems my friends have I feel are issues that are none of their business, so they won't hear that, either... Overall, I'm more open with my dad, since my mom is horribly judgmental/ opinionated...

I'm not open with my mum. She wants me to be, but nonono. I don't really tell her anything, unless I have to. It's just awkward.
