Thread: how do i download a youtube video to powerpoint 2003 offline

is it possible to download a youtube video in my powerpoint presentation? will will not be connected to the internet at the time of my presentation. i want it to just start as if i was clicking to the next slide. Is my problem that powerpoint 2003 does not support videos and i have to upgrade to pp2007 for this? How can I do this? Thank you...

easy, download the program called anyvideo.com. You can convert the you tube video there. After that just click and drag it into the same folder that your ppt is in. Open your ppt and and click on the add video and tell it where it is and thats it. I do it all the time. The Firefox browser has an add-on 'Video DownloadHelper' that will let you capture video content. As long as it's in Windows Media File format (.wmv), PowerPoint should be able to play it.
