Your giving up Lawrie and Braddock for a two pitch pitcher who may not ever be the pitcher he was last year horrible.

Well Hamels wouldn't have to be concerned with pitching into October. He'd like it.

I wouldnt give up that much for Hamels, but its a nice idea. Hamels has about $23 million in surplus value, which translates to a guy like Gamel or McGehee straight up. The Phillies dont need any more lefties in their lineup, so might be willing to give up two years of a 3.5 win pitcher, for 5 years of control of a potential power bat at 3B. He would be the best pitcher on the Brewer staff until Gallardo learns how to control his pitches.
