Thread: help i killed my tachometer

Started 4 months ago by the1mcman
hay im new to this site but maybe some one can help me in here. My tachometer doesnt work at all and i am hoping to try and fix it this week. its a 95 land rover discovery 2.5tdi. Ive put a new battery in and nothing else seems to be wrong except the brake lights dont work but i have a feeling the bulbs are gone cause none of the fuses are broke. Any way is this problem caused by the alternator?...

Check the tacho connection on the back of the alternator. Spade connector thin wire, look for bad connection or broken connection.
