There must be someone who has changed the gear ratio on a newer chev or gmcthat has had this problem. I see a lot of trucks with huge tires and canonly think that they might have swapped the gears. I think you are going to have to buy a new chip calibrated for all yourmod's. I've got some experience in your exact circumstance. From experience thehard way.....My previous 99 ext cab (5.3 with 4L60E) came factory with 235/70/16 tiresand 3.42 gears. I moved to a 285/75/16 tire and 4.10 gears. I also like youbought the Hypertech to adjust for changes. Thanks for the info. The funny thing is that after I installed the lift and35 inch tires, the speedo of course was off so I Programmed for the tiresize difference. Everything was ok after that until I installed the gears amonth later. That is when BOTH lights came on; the brake light and theservice 4wd. I will keep searching the internet for a fix.
