My son is 9 weeks old, but is in 3-6 month/6 month clothing. He is 16.5 lbs and 24 inches long.
The 6 month outfits are a bit big on him, but the size charts on them up to 16 lbs, so according to the tags, he shouldn't even fit in these outfits, they should be too small!!!
Am i going crazy?! I have just been ignoring everything and going with "my kid fits 3-6 months clothes, and that's ...
My DS1 was the opposite shape as the OP's child. He was 27" and 15lbs at 2 months and in 6-9 month clothes by then. He wore 3-6 month home from the hospital as a 23.5" newborn. My DD started fitting 3-6 month clothes at 24"... It all has to do with torso length really.
lol, mine's in stage 3 diapers too! i didn't know what to do...my husband told me to get the "cruisers," but i was like "HE'S NOT CRUISING YET!" He's just huge!
Mason has stubby legs...he can still fit his 0-3 month pants, but you're right, tight around the belly; i have to roll up the 3-6 month pants!
Same here. My LO fits into sizes differently than what is recomended. I just go by what fits her. For some brands she is wearing 3mos and some she is wearing 6mos. I think it is because she is long, so a lot of her clothes fit her in length, but are a bit loose aroud the belly.
I hear ya! My son is 10 weeks and weighs 19lbs 3oz 25inches and wears anything from 3-6mos. to 9-12mos. clothes. And is in stage 3 diapers....I feel like he is growing out of everything SO fast!
OH, I forgot to mention that, the 3-6 mos. pants are perfect length but don't fit too well around his waist, they are a bit too tight. But his tops have to be 9mos. or 12mos.
my son is 9 weeks and weighs 13 1/2 lbs and 24 inches. He wears 3-6 mos in Old Navy clothes, but is still fitting perfectly in the 0-3 (3 month) Carter's clothes. I think it just depends on brand and fit...my guy is a bit long and skinny, and Old Navy's pants are just too short for him, whereas Carters has a longer, leaner fit. He's probably got a bit before he'll fit in their 6 months stuff.
Alison, lol I hear ya! My husband and I went to the store the other day to get diapers because he was starting to not fit in his stage 2 anymore. When we got to the store we had to find "THE RIGHT" diaper size because I was getting sick of him leaking through. I thought, there is no way he can be in cruisers, he's to young! He can't even cruise around! lol...It seems as if our babies want to ...
My son is 15.6 pounds and 27 inches long..he fits in anywhere from 6-12 month clothing already since he is so long but its kinda baggy on him. He was wearing 3-6 months when he was a couple weeks old. He is going to be 11 weeks old now
My dd is 12 wks, about 14 lbs, and is in 6-9 mos clothing for most things because of her length... everything is too big on her width-wise, but she's too long for smaller stuff. Oh well. She's still in 1-2 Huggies though.
Baby clothing sizes are not exact, and they fit each child differently. Just like a size 14 would fit 10 different women in a different way, all those women being different weights, heights, proportions, shapes, and how they prefer to wear their clothing; you would get just the same difference in baby clothes.
My son is 8 weeks, 13lbs and 25 3/4 inches long and wears size 9 months onesies and...
