If you feel like you shouldn't have it all you could donate some of it to a children's hospital or a church that knows a family in need.  I made a point of asking everyone to buy LO books.  She still got toys but WAY more books to fill her new bookshelf!

We didn't get Logan a lot because we knew she would be spoiled by everyone else, and she was.  I know a lot of people got their LO's A LOT more, and I felt bad for about 30 seconds until I saw her surrounded by new toys... playing with an old crusty one.  LOL

Same here. Ours got spoiled from relatives too. I plan on saving a few to rewrap for her 1st birthday in Feb. is that wrong?

wolfbunny that is a good idea. I am just scared that they are going to spoil her for her first bday too. lol   To the OP, no, I do not feel guilty.  I did plan to donate some of the stuff.

We only got her 4 toys and a new carseat.  I had my older kids wrap up one of their old baby toys to give to her.  She has so much as it is.  I don't feel guilty at all.

Trust me: THEY ARE GOING TO SPOIL HER FOR HER FIRST BIRTHDAY! It's ok though- they are only little once. If you don't want to send the toys to the shelters or donate, put them in the closet and recycle them. At some point, your baby is going to get bored with the toys that are out. When this happens, rotate the toys out and pull the ones that you have stored in the closet. Put the "bored" ...

I didn't get Alex a lot because I thought DH's family would spoil him - and I was wrong!  He didn't get hardly anything from them!  Oh well, his birthday is in a few months, and I can spoil him then :-)

Heck no, I don't feel guilty for how LITTLE we bought for my son!  We bought him a book, a toy and two new pairs of soft shoes. I specifically told his grandparents to buy 1 toy for him and that's all. With 4 new toys total, he is perfectly content.

shann_leigh  I just had to laugh about the old, crusty toy. Raegan did the exact same thing. She got about TWENTY presents (four of them from DH and I), and we put them all together, placed them all in her room, and when we put her in there... she went straight for an old, crappy toy! LOL! I did kinda feel bad about her getting so much, but it's her first Christmas. I'm sure next year ...

We didn't buy much, and I felt a little guilty, but both of my girls are super happy with what they have.
