My Epson photo 300 went on the fritz. I really liked the photo printing quality, so I jaunted over to Sam's Club and picked up an Epson stylus photo r220. On the r300, when I set the printing preferences to "Photo" the pictures printed out beautifully. On this r220, set on "Photo" the pictures come out very grainy. I set in on "Best Photo" and the pictures look OK. I downloaded the latest driver ...

jensieboy, I am not familiar with this model. However, a similar error condition in the Stylus Photo 2200 would indicate 1 of three problems: 1-restricted carriage movement, 2-paper feed motor errror, and 3-automatic sheet feeder home position error. Hope this helps.

My Epson Stylus Photo R300 is only printing anything in colour but NOTHING in black print. Any suggestions, please ?
