Started 4 months ago by ma20070506
I ship same day as order for a very inexpensive first class - $2.00 which covers 1.58 postage, .25 for the fancy label and .50 for the fancy padded package and protective material needed to make sure it arrive unbroken (after weeks of testing and research and broken items). I eat the .33 cents extra. This first class package can take anywhere from 2 days to 12 days depending on "who knows ...

You are correct! Unfortunately most Buyers to not consider the handling time when giving the Shipping Time Star. .

there is nothing you can do about it. any buyer with common sense would know the seller cannot in any way be responsible for transit time once it is shipped. there all also many buyers that think the seller is also the postman. so sad.......

I really do not think we should be held responsible for what the carriers are doing .. Sellers are NOT held responsible for in-transit time; eBay makes this very clear. it should not be part of the buyers feedback on us .. It isn't. let them rate the carrier separately however they want. There is no provision for rating a carrier. ~~C~~

Sellers are NOT held responsible for in-transit time; eBay makes this very clear. They make it clear, where?

the main problem here is that ebay refuses to provide a way of checking the dsr's buyers leave for accuracy or for compliance with the rules ebay has laid down. It is a very unfair systme but ebay will not spend one dollar to fix it.

Sellers are NOT held responsible for in-transit time; eBay makes this very clear. Incorrect. eBay may make it clear that sellers SHOULD NOT BE held responsible for transit time, but buyers still do hold them responsible. Buyers still do rate sellers on the shipping time, not the handling time, no matter what disclaimers eBay puts in tiny gray print under the shipping section.

Garmentvarmint..... Then the reality for some buyers will be that they will get what they ask for....... Let's not get away from the OP's original point of dealing with shipping time dsr...... For example, I use Priority mail 99% of time but I have true example of a package that when Priority to Alaska before it ended up in TN which was the original destination!! So should I be penalized in my dsr for the PO's error (and for the...

JH197.... You said that "buyers should" do this and that. Buyers are NOT GOING TO DO any of those things. That is the reality. Sellers who are suffering from low DSR ratings need to be pro-active. If they do not adapt, then they will continue to receive low DSR's.
