our whole football team takes it, i guess it seems to work as i used to lift more than alot of people then once they started taking that shit, they all got stronger than me. or maybe its just becuase im weak, who knows [This message has been edited by 2unl2 (edited 12-07-2005).]

It works to fill up the muscles with extra water content, giving them the illusion of extra tone, but not doing much for the actual strength. So yeah, it works. [This message has been edited by MomentaryLapseOfReason (edited 12-07-2005).]

It does fill your muscles up with water and does help in the short term to make you look bigger. It does do more than that though. It will increase muscle endurance. You'll be able to push another rep or two before failure. So overall, you get that bit of edge and will get stronger faster. Won't be some magical powder, but it will give you the edge over not using it. Hard work will do far more ...

simply, it gives you sterioid looks with no steroid side effects like acne, mood swings, shrinking nuts. overall, not worth the effort

It gives the illusion of increased muscle tone, nothing more. HOWEVER, if taken in excess it can cause the muscle tissue to burst, causing massive muscular damage and possibly handicaping them for life!

I think drmirkin.com talks down somewhat (?) on creatine. I have some interest in Carnitine? I tried to get some at the HF store tonight, but couldn't find it. It's pretty '$' though & the science is so-so on it. Just got Taurine
