Thread: do i have to change the pistons in my 2.0l non turbo gti if i want to go turbo

if a want to turbo my volkswagen gti 2.0l would i have to change the pistons. if i do, do i have to buy forged pistons or could i go find some off of a engine that comes factory turboed. thanks

stock is fine. larger boost, stack a headgasket. even more? change pistons. fwiw, there are plenty of 2.0 turbos running stock pistons.
