Thread: diaper help

Started 3 weeks, 6 days ago by KINCAIDGURL
my two year old wears a huggies size 6 diaper and we do fine during the day but she pees through them almost every night now. We have tried unsuccessfully to limit the amount of water she drinks in the afternoon (goes to bed at 6:30). Just wondering what brand of pull ups you prefer to use. I figure maybe we'll have better luck with them

We never had overnight problems. DD wore Pampers Baby Dry diapers until she was 3 (size 4). We used Huggies pull-ups, but I think they would actually be worse than a diaper b/c they don't seem to hold as much to me. They do make diaper doublers which are an insert you can put inside a diaper to absorb more liquid. Another idea, does she pee a ...

what about those diapers that are specifically made for overnight use (I think they are called Goodnites?) We have used those before and they worked. DS wears a size 6 too and all of a sudden he is leaking at night periodically.

FEBRUARYGIRL replied 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Good Nites. When they're big enough for a size 6, regular diapers don't cut it at night anymore.

We use the Huggies Overnights. I think they are called goodnights! They work great!!!

We use Pampers Cruisers Ultra at night. Huggies does make a overnight diaper, but we don't like Huggies much so I can't say how well they work.

Huggies makes an overnight pull-up that DD has been using for a long time. Never had a problem with them.

Are the diapers just too big perhaps? A 2yo in a 6???? My 4.5 yo (cerebral palsy) is only in a 5. Pullups do NOT hold more urine than diapers. They are just designed for accidents really, not full blown going and going. I'd get a doubler insert (like a pad with no sticky side) then I'd get an old fashioned plastic cover for nights.

I agree, they might be too big. My DD wore diapers/pull-ups up until age 3.5 and she never went above a size 5. I would not do pull-ups at night for that age, diapers are way more absorbent. Try a nighttime diaper first.

My 2 yo wears a 6. They are for 35+ lbs, but I always have to move them up before they weigh what is says on the package. Huggies over night diapers are called Overnights. GoodNites are pull ups for big kids who are bed wetters. They even come in boxer shorts style, etc. They will be much too big for your kid.

DS wore a 6 at age 2. You could try putting diaper doublers in the diaper.

Oops, Overnights, that is what I meant Crisco. DS wears a 6. The 5's are too small. He is about 33 lbs I think.
