LOL!! looks like they are cutting the budget by using previous stock/establishing shots -- or are you talking about the inside? You're good - Santa Claus was not a favorite of mine - I never would have caught that!

I thought the bigger continuity issue was that Monk was insisting on the front seat again, when in "Mr Monk and Sharona" he hopped in the backseat no problem. I thought that it was something Bell helped him with off camera as it were, so I put too much thought into it, until tonight.

The outside. They walked right past the spot where the woman was killed, where Monk found the cigarette butts and where Monk and Natalie were egged.

I noticed that continuity issue too -- thought it went back to the other continuity issue with Sharona - it originally being scheduled to run after Best Man and "wife" getting dubbed over for "girlfriend" and the fact that if you look close, Stottlemeyer is wearing a wedding ring in the Sharona episode.

ahh, checked out the Sharona ep again and you're right. that helps it make sense.
