Yep, this is exactly the bleeping&silence you've recorded. Now I'm playing with kX on Win Server 2003 SE SP2 and the bleepz _never_ occured. Same on Fedora Linux (using alsa), my 2nd system. solution is: Buying a Audigy 2 ZS and setup official web driver... works like charm. and also beep and no sound also on Audigy 2 ZS. BEWARE

I changed my buffer settings to this: http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/6481/buforymq2.jpg and i didn't get the beeping sound since then. It may just be coincidence, but it's worth trying.
