confused about ps3 sending HD as pcm Im confused about this wondering what youre actually getting if you send a dts master hd or dolby true HD track to a reciever that dosent decode it but accepts Multi Channel Linear PCM over hdmi.If its sending it as lpcm instead of the hd codecs do you get a different bit rate .Is it still dolby ...

If you have a slim PS3, you can go into the audio options and change the settings to that Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MA are output 'as is' and not automatically converted to LPCM, if you prefer that. However, with an original PS3 (phat), you can't change that option, only the slim version can....
