Thread: completing the hotel trifecta...a pre-trip tale

Started 4 months, 1 week ago by bumbershoot
Yes yes yes, me again! (that was for those who have read my other reports). Hello! (that was for those new to my reports) I'll come back later and write more about my just-decided-to-go birthday trip, but I just wanted to get this started.

Hello, to you, and you (and you and youuuuu, once 2 more people show up). Before running off to do more cleaning etc etc and so forth.... It's gonna be my birthday! Woo! I don't normally celebrate b'days, but this year is special. I'm just slightly younger than Haunted Mansion, and this year is a big b'day, so I figured "why not?" Plus, it will make son and husband very happy. They...

I sometimes wonder, if there were a contest for the most dramatic difference between Replies and Views, if I would win... Then again, I know that most of my posts are absolutely useless, so probably people just check out the latest bit in my reports, then go off and do something more fun...like clean the bathtub or something scintillating like that. Oh happy day, Eamon has finally ...

I love Wall E. It is such a sweet love story. I was reading before 4, and I haven't stopped since. I think it's great that he wants to learn so much. Enjoy it while you can. Trust me.

bumbershoot replied 4 months, 1 week ago
Oh yeah, I'm glad he wants to. I just don't want to push him. Robert's parents and teachers didn't realize that there's a big range of ages for people to learn to read, and made it miserable for him. On top of that, when he describes why reading takes him so long, it's clear he has some form of dyslexia, and no one ever picked up on that. No one ever offered a different form of test (oral ...

I know what you mean about it being one big mall, but I loved having a DTD view. The trees have the lights and the Mariachi bands playing down there and being able to watch the fireworks from the balcony make it so worth it. And in the morning as the world comes alive watching them clean it and the employees and other guest scurrying around then make it a fun view.

I think that, after this experience, I'd be OK using the insurance. It was just so exhausting. You saw us on our first night, and you saw Eamon sleeping for over an hour. He does not nap anymore, so that was weird...I should have known then. I was so glad to see you and meet your son and friends, but the rest of the trip was just so hard, because E and I had been so sick, and he got the "bounceback" (I've been...

What a wonderful shopping trip. I think you did great, and got some good deals especially considering that it was Disney. And you know I love the idea of the bread on the side, I am a real fan of that idea and I shall steal that idea from you when I go next time. Hopefully in June.

YaY! I just got caught up after being gone for a week! It sounds like Trick or treating was a hit and worked out really well. I'm glad E is willing to trade and eat the candy that is "good" for him. We left our Halloween candy sitting on the kitchen table since we left early, early Sunday morning and since we've been home only about 2.5 hours and the kids have been busy playing, they really haven't rediscovered...

Great end to your trip report Molly! Poor Robert, getting puked on. I agree about the trip insurance in theory, but I wonder if I would have the forsight to actually use it in the circumstances you were in. I mean actively sick yes, but mostly recovered, it would be hard to not go.

Oops about the marble, but at least it was something without sharp edges Bummer about the anti-biotics on not much food – that is never fun and even more so when you’re out and about. Good luck with the retrieval of the “fairy bubble” ;-] Sounds like a great time trick or treating! We live in the official trick or treat neighborhood for our town. Old established houses in a well-lit neighborhood with good sidewalks. I think the ladies...

Wow! I got more then I bargined for on the MIL front, but I gotta be honest...it seems like you were bursting with it. Like you really just needed to get it out, to tell someone, anyone, who would have a better reaction then your wonderful albeit sometimes-doesn't-have-the-best-coping-skills, R. My MIL is an oddity. She's a "b-word", through and through. She's horrible. She is dramatic and cries, she is one of...

I wonder what chemicals were in the one lip gloss that made you and E have (what sounds like) an allergic reaction. Hmm. Otherwise, I love lip gloss so if it is free, even better!! And cupcake-scented bubble bath or anything else cupcake-scented sounds delightful. I may just have to revisit Sephora. I have not ordered anything from them online. I thought I had, but now I think I had planned to order online and I never did.

Great update, Molly! But I have some bad news for you. The cars are gone from the Boardwalk.
