Thread: broadband usage in mysky

i heard that sky were going to introduce a usage meter on the mysky website. is that true? does anyone have it yet?

They are going to start more closely monitoring and controlling (proably not the right word but hey) the over users, I.E. those on low packages who continually go over the limits. A tool is supposed to be in the pipe line not sure how far away this is thoug

Perhaps they might reconsider allowances - I bought a new Garmin SatNav yesterday and it updated itself over the BB connection. That came to nearly 4gb in a 4 hour session, which equates to 2 months basic Sky BB allowance. 2gb will not cover the basic PC update tasks eg a/v updates, security updates, program updates. I receaved a letter from Sky yesterday stating that i'm now able to use the Sky Usage meter in www.sky.com/mysky then go to the list under broadband and click usage tools. But despite them saying in the letter it's available, theirs no title under broadband as yet for usage tools. So despite saying it's available, their still no sign of the. usage tool website under broadband...

mines active as well. It says I've used 0.5% or 0.05GB of my allowance &amp; I have another 14 days left. The amount is a bit surprising unless they only started monitoring sunday afternoon although it says from 29.10.09, which it can't be unless they system is off somehow as I know I've done some updates etc greater than 50 meg. Edit; definitely worth visiting so you can set the email alerts up on usage, it defaults to no...
