Thread: brent stantons worth?

Started 3 months ago by nickh32
hey everybody i know that brent stanton is contracted but i believe he is one person essendon could trade and get something really good for. what people give to have brent stanton in their own club? And also for the sake of it what would people give for david myers and andrew lovett?

Stanton is probably worth about 10 -16. That's a weird section of the draft because most trades at that range are for players that have shown very little but have potential (ala Cameron Wood). Stanton has shown a fair bit and is only 23 but with 120+ games. I don't think he'll get much better though. I'd be interested in David Myers but only if he could be turned around into a forward. ...

brent is an awsome player because he runs and runs and he gets lots of the ball but hes overatted because people dont realise he cant use it. i dont actually want brent gone unless we got another gun back or a really low pick. i was just putting brent out their to get an idea for what people think of him and what we possibly might of been able to get for him. i used to go to school with david...

What is Stanton's worth? Two dim sims and I have to qualify this NOT two really nice steamed dim sims from a vietnamese area like footscray or richmond BUT two stale dim sims fried in three day old fat the likes you see at Flinders Street station. Why the bombers gave the number 5 jumper to this hack I will never know

Dont't even know why I'm arguing this, I wouldn't want Essendon to accept a trade for Stanton, he is worth more to us than we would get for him . I still think he has a lot of growth left in him and has improved every year he has been at the club.

Stanton is a star - probably my favourite player outside of Adelaide. Ever since Chris Knights' move to half-forward has been so successful I've thought the Bombers should copy it. They are similar players, both are very skillful players and have long precise kicks, but both are incredibly bad decision-makers in the midfield. I'd be very interested if he was available but if anyone says the name "Walker" I...

You must get pretty bored with life Gunnar. This is a football forum, specifically, the "drafts and trading" section, not a place for you to argue semantics. Why do you feel the need to prove yourself, strutting out the same line in every second thread? Forums are places for people to post their opinions, and whilst yes, you are entitled to yours, it doesn't necessitate your constant derailing of threads. Let the people...
