i am trying to reformat my old laptop but i am getting these message when i try to setup any OS in my old laptop.. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...9/DSC00271. jpg ^ ^ the blue screen kindly post here if you know how to solve this problem.. . thanks...

Hi, You mean you tried 'any' OS already... (ex. Vista, XP, and may be Linux, etc.) and the result is the same? Just my two cents, format your drive clean may be with another tool like DBAN then reinstall again. If symptoms are the same, run HDD diagnostics as well as RAM diags to test your HDD and your RAM sticks. Lastly (and just as a reminder) use only original/genuine discs of your ...

I have seen you ran Memtest86+ on it but the test just stopped. I suggest you test your RAM sticks in a similar computer (still with Memtest86+). If you have a good working spare of RAM then use it instead (just for testing) on your laptop and see your installation would succeed.
