I have had good luck with suzuki and as far as bieng as fast as my 500 i don't expect that i like the way the 450 handles and the rmz is plush its easy to ride all day and it has alot of power i just want to open it up a little more but like you said i don't want to send a lot of cash maby a 505 would be good

Im interested in that too I have the same bike. I heard all those mods dont do much except for a high compression piston setup which is about $800.00. But if you get that your bike will go insane.

Yes an exhaust helps a lot with the RMZ450. Really opens up the top end without hurting the bottom end. Makes it plenty competitive with the other 450s. If you still want more power, throw in Hot Cams . For even more power, get a high compression piston. 14-50 gearing is stock. I run 14-51 for MX and most offroad, 15-51 for desert races. 13-47 is nearly identical to 14-51, so I'd ...

Haven't tried the FMF on the RMZ but they make good stuff. I wouldn't bother spending the extra $$ though. A Quick Shot accelerator pump cover will help with the off-idle bog, or you can do the very cheap o-ring AP mod at the top of the Intake forum.

I have a 05 RMZ 450. Biggest performance gain was the FMF Ti Pipe and the mega-bomb header. It's awesome. With all that said. An awesome pipe that increases power on a bike with bad suspension is just as good as a clapped out engine on a bike with bad suspension.
