There are 4 bolts on a bench seat and there are 8 on a 60/40 split. Now the 4 that are there now will line up and there will be dimples in the sheet metal where the other 4 go. Drill those out and put some grade 8 bolts though the holes along with some nuts and washers if there was not already a seat mount there from from the factory.

This pic is when I set the 60/40 out of a 95 Tahoe in my 88 scsb. I have finished installing it and had to reshape the trans hump to make the power seat work correctly. I am ordering new carpet as soon as I get the color samples.

When I did this exact thing, I ordered different seat brackets to fit the different tranny hump. Still have some old seat brackets somewhere. I put a 95 extracab 60/40 into an 88reg cab short box.

what are you showing me that for?

fastjohnny replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
From the GM dealer. If I remember right, I changed the inboard seat bracket on both passenger and driver seats.

This pic is when I cut off the inside rear bracket on the drivers seat, it almost sat in there, but once I ran power to the seat and adjusted it at it's lowest point I knew I had to do something with the floor. Here's a pic of the inside rear bracket modified. X2 I'll get some pics of the floor when I pull the seat to install the sound deadener and carpet.

so i want to go to the dealer and order the inboard seat brackets for the 60/40 bench seat?

jmig replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
It wasn't that difficult to do. If the bracket is available and not to expensive then go for it. I knew I could modify it to work in my situation.

Your passenger side should be a bolt in application. Again depending on the model year of the 60/40 your only issue will be where the inside brackets attach. I'm sure someone here...
