i am sure this is all over the boards, but haven't looked,
are you getting the h1n1 shot?
i am sooooo conflicted about it,
it took Alot of research and prayer for us to get the regular shots for sav, minus the reg. flu one and now this..
our city has some cases and i am getting scared.
alot of my friends are getting their babies vaxed, dh is totally against it.
what should i do?
i...
I too am completely confused about this whole shot! Aidan did get his regular flu shot from his dr. I did not want to get the swine flu vaccine for myself only because it is still do new, they don't know enough about it and what side effects the shot can cause years later. Then I found out that Aidan's dr's office had them and was recommending them to 6m-23m olds, and 5-9 year olds. I am so ...
We both got the seasonal flu shot, but I don't plan on us getting the H1N1
shot. I really have no other reason other than that it is so new and I just
have a feeling.
thanks ladies, i am for now saying no
if i wanted to i would have to have a pretty good arguement to convince dh anyways,
i have been praying about it, and i don't feeel like we need to
i am going to limit her exposure to others esp when she has a cold now though
anyways, all the best to all you moms out there,
All 3 of us have gotten the normal flu shot, none of us are getting the H1N1.. I have no solid reasoning other than *I* don't see the need for us to get both, I guess. We are around people a lot with our particular jobs, and Hannah is around kids.. so I thought it best we get them to err on the safe side. I think if I were a SAHM maybe I would reconsider or do a bit more research...
We are not doing the H1N1 shot simply because I am concerned that they rushed the vaccine and don't really now all the side effects or problems that it can cause. Bella and Holden, my 3 year old have gotten their flu shots; however, Tristan, my 8 year old hasn't gotten one yet because all of the pedis in this area are out of the vaccine for his age group. I am very worried because he has asthma...
No we are not. Mostly because it is so new and I don't trust it. But I stay home with him and we will just take extra precautions to keep us all healthy.
I declined it because I'm pregnant.
I just do not trust it either. Back in the 1960's they were giving a vaccine for ladies who were pregnant to help with morning sickness and migraines, and they had babies with missing limbs. Gardisil came out not long ago, and now there's people who are having fertility issues that are linked to that vaccine.
I just don't want to end up having a child and...
No one here will be getting it--not my husband, not the Chairman, and not my pregnant self.
We're all working hard to both build up our immunity and also limit our exposure.
we took the plunge and did it. vaxed savie,
the thing that took me over the edge was finding out that a good friend of ours from church, her daughter has it. and we are at church alot and hang with pple from there alot.
i wasn't willing to risk her being exposed. i feel relieved
