Thread: apple cider vinegar vs. white vinegar

I forget the source I read it from, but no, you can't use it for any of those purposes, just for food prep.  I'd try and return it for white if you can.  Otherwise, enjoy all that vinaigrette salad dressing!!!

For cleaning, it can leave stickiness. I've used it with baking soda to clean my bathtub but then had to rinse really well! I use mine for a rinse on my hair! Surely you could find other uses for it!

I've used it with baking soda to clean my bathtub but then had to rinse really well! But apple cider vinegar isn't a disinfectant.  Why would you use it to clean your bathtub.  I think it would be good for hair though!  Most likely still make it shiny.

I use it in my hair (and sometimes just regular vinegar if I don't have ACV) but that's about it. 

I just put the bottle in the shower. I've also heard that it makes your hair shiny, so we'll see! I've been thinking of going "poo" free so maybe this will motivate me better!

Well honestly this is how I discovered vinegar and BS initially as cleaners before I even came here and read you all used it! I do "no poo" so I wash my hair with BS and rinse with ACV (btw, alamay, I think you were the one that suggested salt for those with hard water and that has made my no poo work SO much better!!). I use white vinegar for household cleaning. I use ACV for health and beauty. I would not return the ACV.  Use this for a million different heath remedies.  Drink a shot of it a day for overall good health.  It makes a great facial toner.  Check out this link at earthclinic.com .
