An inevitable consequence of selling our future down the river. The young have been shafted from almost every direction for years, only now Labour have stepped it up a level in an attempt to buy their way out of a general election...
Graduate unemployment is also heading northwards at a rapid rate. So not only are University students saddled with massive debts but there is not the work for them out the other side.
The predictable consequence of increasing the University intake is that prospective employers are now wanting the higher degrees (2:1 minimum) even in sectors that normally...
The Labour government is a ****ing disgrace. It's actually unbelievable how bad they have been. They will go down in history IMO, as the worst government this country has ever had, and one of the worst governments in world history.
Well if you're young why bother working hard.
Once you start earning a high income you have to pay back your student loan
You need a huge way above average salary to buy a home.
You will just be bled dry to fund the excesses of previous generations.
Better just to emigrate to somewhere where young people are appreciated - Singapore is nice...

start my first job tomorrow, after graduating in july 2008 with an engineering related degree, cleaning in the local college, shall i tell the students not to bother with uni?
