Hurst, "they think it's all over", little did they know it would be repeated over and over again for decades. First game I ever saw live on TV. In fact I vaguely recall the TV being bought for the World Cup games. I suppose it's all been downhill since then.

Swansea top of the league (the old Division 1 as well not the lower leagues) in 1981/1982, aged 6 - what a team - Alan Curtis, Robbie James, Leighton James, Bob Latchford, 'Jimmy' Hadziabdic and Tosh as the manager!

2 amazing, wild post-goal celebrations from World Cup 82 - Falcao (who looked about 45) for Brazil and Tardelli for Italy in the final.

My little Arsenal kit. Playing with literally anything, tennis balls, rolled up tinfoil, rock hard cheapo plastic balls, as we usually couldn't afford proper footballs. World Cup '82, particularly Brazil's side, Zico, Eder and the like. Spending hours learning how to use both feet. Listening to Irish radio legend Philip Greene's commentary on league of Ireland matches. Mostly I was playing rather than watching.

My mother telling me about my great uncle when I was a nipper. Inter Milan's record-breaking Serie A Championship-winning season under Giovanni Trappatoni. Listening on the radio to the famous 4-4 Merseyside derby. Blackburn Rovers winning the Premier League. Doing some research into my great uncle and finding out jusy how good he really was: http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/WHpuddefoot.htm

Rome 1977. Roger Osborne, 1-0 v Arsenal. Argentina 1978. Nottingham Forest side - David Needham scoring from a header. Pissing on the terraces and accidently pissing on someone's leg. Finding myself in the middle of a fight and a copper standing on my foot! Nearly getting crushed at half time. Liverpool losing 1-0 and missing a penalty (that gave me recurring nightmares for about 3 years). Walking up the steps to see a lush green pitch on...
