The reps are right and wrong. In Canada you need a XBL Subscription code you can get from your retailer or a Credit Card. In the US you can use a Debit Card but not here in Canada as the Banks here don't put an expiry date on the cards. Sucks yes but that is the way Banks here do things. ?If you use a code and it didn't take try again but make sure you enter it correctly. Some codes can be country specific so if you got it in the US...
