A two minute boot time wouldn't bother me. I think of it as time to get my first sip of coffee and a drag off my first cigarette in the morning.

When will you stop fiddling I would not bitch at ~2 mins - my XP system took far longer than that with startups, scans, etc. Undo the changes, either manually or try System Restore. You've already been advised re. Cachman and Bootvis is long dead in the water and was aimed at developers, not casual users. I haven't gone further into the article, but no doubt there are further doubtful/pointless tweaks listed. If you must tweak - one...
