Thread: XD45 accuracy

Started 3 months, 2 weeks ago by Aceman
Was at the range a couple of days ago, and i am yet again amazed at the accuracy of this thing. I'll say this here - but let's don't repeat it anywhere: I think it is more accurate than my HK USP9. Just a straight shooting iron! Anyone else having this experience???? Or is it everyone else?!?!?!?

I had 5 Xds , only 3 now. xd9, xd40Tac and xd357sig. All are quite accurate. Especially the 357sig which took over a year to be shipped. The nice things about the 40Tac is it has low recoil regardless of the round and it places the shells in a nice pile about 3 feet to the right. The 9 shoots well too.

I bought an XD45 tactical last year. I pulled it out of the box and loaded her up with 10 rounds. They made a ragged hole in the center of the bullseye at 21 feet. I use mine quite often at our local steel shoots.

I certainly have no complaints about my XD's accuracy...

dosei, I am also from the Upcountry. Was your photo from a public indoor range? If so, then where? I know of such only in the greater Greenville and greater Charleston areas.

dosei, Thanks. I have driven by Dewey's for years, but only as of late have I stopped in the shop to look around with some regularity. Have not used their range yet. I have family in Taylors and manage to visit Trader's on Wade Hampton with great regularity. When north of town near the Cherrydale Mall I visit the new indoor range there (forgot name) as well. (And also have not shot ...

Just recently picked up an XD-45 Service model used at a great price and have been extremely impressed with the accuracy of it. One ragged hole at 7 yards and all shots within the 9 ring at 25 yards. I can shoot this thing as accurately as I can shoot my H&K USP(f) .45 in a smaller package. What's not to like?
