Thread: XD45C and XD40SC trigger pulls

I just got back from the range and for the first time reasonably long time I shot my XD45C, not just my XD40SC. I shot the .45 pretty bad, it seemed like the trigger took for ever to break. After the time at the range I did a better comparison of the two triggers, and sure enough the XD45C has a heavier trigger pull on tkae up than the XD40SC. I think this is what made it feel like it was ...

I had a similar issue with my XD9 service. ie. OEM setup seemed like it took forever for the trigger to break. Very difficult to anticipate when it would go. I purchased a Powder River easy fit trigger kit and reduced power trigger and sear springs. All for a little under $100. Put them in myself. OMG!! What a difference! I went from liking my gun to loving my gun. Accuracy went up 70% ...

+1 on the PRP kit. you'll go down to about 10% of the pretravel and no over travel if you fit the ot stop properly. pull weight can be whatever you want depending on what springs you change, do the Ti striker safety with - power spring and Ti indicator with - power striker spring and you'll get the pull way down. the differance may be do to break in, but I would think that it is more to do ...
