I love Wynonna, and she is entitled to her opinion. However, to not nominate Taylor would be to deny her impact, sales and appeal. I don't particularly love country, but I sure like Taylor Swift a lot. She is a breath of fresh air to country for me. Unpretentious, talented, earnest in her sincerity. I haven't felt that from a country star in a long time.
Maybe Wy's just a little bitter ...

As for Shakira, I don't see why she shouldn't be able to put out a song/video like that, as long as it is subjected to the same censorship criteria & broadcasting restrictions that tv shows & movies are. Sexual themes have been in music since forever.
