Here's what I sent mine: ------------------------------------------------- ------- Congressman Teague, I need to ...

I think you acted in haste David. Did you really think most of the congress people and our president would allow that bill to go through with abortion being ruled out? It's a law it's in our constitution, no one in the legislative branch can change that. Because so many people got upset over this it's gotten way out of line. Remember - if the Stupak thing becomes law and it's challenged we have a freshly picked conservative court ready to do what they can to restrict abortion. Do we really want to give them the chance?

The political reality of this is that the chances of getting this thing to Obama's desk would be a lot more certain if the anti-abortion thing were retained. The Rethugs and the Blue Dogs clearly feel that they need it and since it's essential that we get something passed we should go with it. We can always fix it later.

What the hell am I thinking of wildcat? I email and have called all my federal elected officials hardly a week goes by that they hear from me. I just don't believe in insulting them. Of course mine are pretty good. I have Richard Neal for my representative, he voted against going to Iraq and kept voting against it. My Senators are and were, Kerry and Kirk who took over for the greatest ...

I promise I wasn't trying to be critical -- my apologies if you thought I was calling you out or something. It sounds like you're a better correspondent than I am anyways! :) lyris wrote: I just don't believe in insulting them. That's understandable, and commendable. My...
