I won't bore you with the details but the summary of events is:- May - found "the dress" and went back to order it in June. Was told that the dress wouldn't be ordered until November which didn't please Mum that her 50% deposit was payable upon order and it would only sit earning interest in their account until that date. Ahhh hun. I'd definitely be disappointed by this! There's no way you can be remeasured again and then wait a few months? Surely they can do that - it would be as if you were ordering your dress now.

They say not; it is already ordered and that is that... Am going to contact them tomorrow when I'm more saner mindset. Glad it's not be being "Bridezillary" x

No you're not, hun. What would be the situation if you decided you didn't like that one anymore and wanted to buy another dress? What would they do then? Make you pay for the one you didn't want? Definitely NOT bridezilla-ish! Perhaps threaten to cancel the dress order altogether and they may reconsider then.

Ordered in a size 16, because that was what i was at the time, did say i wanted to lose a bit of weight and they confidently said i could lose weight and they could take it down to a...

we are only in october so why have they ordrred it early? its not your fault its theres. so i would want them to sort out the problem.

Ladies, you are my sanity... in the end I chose to delegate and Mother of the Bridezilla is now dealing with them - a positive conclusive has been reached and the way forward will be decided upon when we have been in for a fitting... what I would advise is read all the small print on any of the paperwork which is handed over whilst you are giddy! I would have been raging hon. They told you they wern't going to order it until November so they are at fault! I would fight it. x

Ladies, you are my sanity... in the end I chose to delegate and Mother of the Bridezilla is now dealing with them - a positive conclusive has been reached and the way forward will be decided upon when we have been in for a fitting... what I would advise is read all the small print on any of the paperwork which is handed over whilst you are giddy! I've learned my lesson but just so relieved I chose to order from a reputable boutique....
