Thread: Would you? Trade 2007 Yamaha FZ6 for a 1978 CJ5?

Started 3 months, 3 weeks ago by tfiedler
Have a very good possibility to trade my 2007 Yamaha FZ6 for a 1978 CJ5 tonight. Supposedly the CJ5 has a freshly-built 304 and is an Arizona Jeep with no rust. Has a top too and from the photos appears to be in pretty good shape. The person selling it was asking the same as I was for my bike. I like my bike but don't ride much... I also need a reliable DD for this winter since ...

Todd, Weren't you asking around 5k for your bike? I would think you could get a nice Wrangler (yj), or a high mileage 97 up wrangler for that kind of money. You would then have a more reliable DD for the winter. Just a thought.....and I am still first in line for your cj7 John _________________ 1997 Cherokee, 3", 32's, too many lights..

The Yamaha is only going to depreciate and the CJ has already hit bottom. _________________ Tom Schafer 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport - Amber Fire Pearl Coat (COPPER) 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport - Silverstone Metalic (SILVER) J ust E mpty E very P ocket THING!

I looked for a couple months and got my 95 yj 4.0 lift and 33's for 4k haven't seen any close to that again for a while but the 4 cylinders are around that much yj's that is just check around on CL that's what I did. If your CJ missfires when it is hot it could be an ignition problem maybe a DUI ignition could fix for around 200 bucks and if it is ignition the CJ5 would have the same problem (...
