Who do you think needs to remain 300ft away from a film camera? Share your opinions.
Michael Bay. An obvious choice and no, it's no cause critics hate his directing that I hate his directing. It's just: his frenzied editing, endless explosions, panning camera technique and general porn-esque sensibilty that has gradually got on my nerves.
I tried to watch all of Armaggedon and couldn't ...
Bay is an obvious choice, but not in the way you seem to mean it.

My Bottom 5:
1) Ulli Lommel - A good actor, but undeniably one of the worst directors that ever lived. I don't know if he really sucks that much or if he just does not care at all about his films. I'm guessing the second, nobody could suck as much as he does, I mean he's been doing it for 20-30 years, has worked with Fassbinder, it's impossible that he didn't learn anything in all that time....
And I myself am inclined to say Robert Rodriguez.....although admittedly I have yet to see From Dusk 'til Dawn , which looks insanely dumb but have heard it's his 'staple' film....

EDIT: Woah forgot about his Mexico trilogy thing with Desperado , El Mariarchi and Once Upon a Time in Mexico . I vaguely remember enjoying myself in the self-indulgence of the latter, and I wouldn't mind ...
Denis Dugan...if you even consider him a director.
also Ben Stiller. I love most of his movies but Im not a huge fan of his directing. But hes not that bad I guess, I did liek the cable guy. But he definetly should not give up acting to be behind the camera.
Well his 'kids' movies repulse me, and even as a child I couldn't imagine enjoying the likes of Spy Kids (believe it or not I endured all three films) or that Lavagirl . Although I guess I should place more focus on his movies like Sin City and Planet Terror ; even then though, they're pretty shallow works that I find are also really forced.
So really, I have yet to see anything even ...
Ah Four Rooms .....always wanted to see that, for Tarantino's segment more than anything else. And thanks for reminding me of Desperado 's existence! I need a valium the size of a hockey puck
Viva, I'd be quite interested in your fave movie list ....I mean you don't like movies like Veronica Guerin and Easy Rider, so I wonder what movies you like Love = "Gonna make you the unhappiest woman in the world."
I don't keep movie lists. But rest assured, you won't find drek by Hopper, Schumacher or Tony 'I can't dress myself' Scott on it. OHGR - Watergate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6m0Daf3VZw&feature=related
Brian De Palma. I know he has a lot of fans on here but beyond Carlito's Way and Scarface , I haven't liked anything of his I've seen, and both those films have obvious similarities. I dare say Casualties of War is one of the worst movies ever made. It's so bad it should be a spoof film, then I could rate it higher because it would be hilarious beyond comprehension. The Untouchables was mediocre but I largely credit that to...
