I bought my v6 mustang a year ago and I want to have a little more fun with it but need more beef under the hood. I was wondering the advantages and disadvantages to a performance chip. I've heard alot of bad thing about them my friend says they cause the transmission to break but I don't know. Any recomendations?

hey! i'm new. i'm a senior in high school. got a 97 3.8 liter v6 mustang my sophmore year. i'm in the process of painting a new hood and then hopefully the rest of the car piece by piece. i have alot of stuff i wanna do to it though.

i'm new to your guys forum. I just recently got a 2000 ford mustang on a trade for 2 atv's. The guy was getting in to much trouble with the car and wanted something for him and his wife to do together. little bit on the car it has a 1992 Ford Thunderbird 5.0 and 4 Speed AOD transmission. I'm still talking with the guy to find out what all he has done with the motor. I know he is running I think ...
