thoughts on this potential project? I would buy this home depot light, then rop a mountain landscape decal to put on it. I'd hang this above the bed instead of art, since we desperately need more light in there. Would it look dumb or cool iyo?

With all kindness - nay - reminds me of those hospital lights that blind you when r/o the nurse comes in to poke and prod on you when you just want to sleep LOL How about sconces at the sides of the bed for light (or lamps) & a nice cheapy art project (enlarge a favorite photo etc. etc.) Or a nice wall decal design even - some of the girls here have posted some nice ones in recent days.

what an awful visual! lol! see I was hoping to kill two birds...rop we already have lamps on either side of the bed, but it's not enough lighting, and we'd like something more substantial that we can hook to a switch. right now, we have to walk all the way across the room to turn the lamps on. :o\ we were thinking of those ikea glass lamp thingies with the prints on them, but none of them ...

well, I could of course be totally wrong. Maybe a picture or r/o artwork of sometype with an accent light above or below it? Can you tuck some other lamps (even floor lamps) around or perhaps change the wiring/electrical so the lamps near the bed aren't on the far switch? Any chance of installing other overhead lighting of any type? Even simple stuff like putting bigger wattage bulbs in ...

why dont you blow up one of your own pics and then put lighting up above or below it?

and i need to get some kind of overhead light for our bedroom too, ro the electricity wiring in our apt is completely messed up. one switch in the dining room turns all the overhead lights on in the entire apt and then anothr turns on some other mood lights (again present in every room) im tempted to disconnect the light bulbs in the bedrooms from that swtich and add my own overhead hanging ...

I'd do a nice big piece of art with some modern track lighting above, some that aims at the art ro and some that aim around the room
