Thread: Windshield reveal molding question.

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by Eww-an E
I've got a quick question, does anyone know if the windshield reveal molding can easily be removed and replaced without actually removing the windshield? I removed my side windshield moldings to take a peek at the top corners and it appears to be a doable job. ^^That's what I'm looking to purchase and install. Thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that piece is just glued in with the sealant they use to install the windshield and if so you can remove it but you will have to clean out the channel and reglue it back down. Thats the way it was on most of the cars we had go through out body shop but quite a few years ago.

On my 2003 it is just held on with clips. just be careful - since it is easy to break them.

The upper moulding is installed on the glass before it is installed on the car. On some older Hondas they used to sell a moulding that could be intalled without pulling the windsheild. Before you go and pull the moulding off you may want to double check with a glass installer to see if you will be able to install the new moulding with out pulling the windsheild.
