I am studying for the 70-680 test.  I have found that the system requirements for Windows 7 seem to change depending on where you ask (or read). The Self Paced book from Microsoft says (on page 5): Starter and Basic 1 Ghz 32 bit or 64 bit processor 512 MB of RAM 20 (x64) or 16 (x86) hard drive with 15 gig avail Graphics adaptor supporting Direct X 9 and 32 Meg of Graphics Ram Premium, Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise: 1 Ghz 32 bit or...

Starter and Basic isn't available except in certain markets. Starter is available by OEM's for netbooks only. I would go for what the web page says. Your not taking the test for a snapshot in time (when the book was printed) but for the ongoing development of technology.
