Thread: Willing to share your IVF success story?

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by krazykat05
Hi Ladies, I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I'm nearing the end of my 2ww for my 2nd IVF (first was a BFN) and I need help keeping my thoughts positive. I know there are successes posted on the TTC side, but I could always use a few more. Quick background on my story - DH And I are 32 (for a few more weeks anyway) and have been TTC#1 for 3 yrs. Our diagnosis is unexplained, but...

I'm so sorry you are struggling with this. I was 28 when we started TTC, 29 when we went the infertility route. The dx was unexplained, although I have since had a confirmed dx of endometriosis. We did 2 IUI + clomid, 3 IUI + injectibles and a fresh IVF cycle. ALL BFN. I have never been so shocked when I POASed after the next treatment---a FET--and saw a BFP. I had never been pregnant before...

Hi there   I have a success story to share but my situation is kinda reversed from yours.  Last year on my first cycle. the meds didn't seem to be working well, of the 17 eggs retrieved only 7 were mature, 5 fert, none made it to freeze, we put in three on day three and I got my son who is now nine months old.  Right now, I am in a second ivf cycle where the meds worked much better, 15 ...

My husband and I have been through IVF 5 times. I am 4 months pregnant on the 5th IVF cycle! It took us a while, but we are pregnant and I am feeling great! We did 3 cylces with one fertility doctor and then went to another place for the last 2. Believe me I know what it's like...the frustration, the pain, the emotional ride, the needles... we've been through it all. My DH is so nervous, me, I ...

The 2WW is the worst. It brings on so much anxiety. I am hoping the time passes for you quickly until your beta. I was lucky enough to get a BFP during my first IVF attempt. However, we went through 6 cycles of CLomid and 3 failed IUI's before trying. I know the pain of wanting it every month and feeling like it is never going to happen. Even with the IVF, we had 13 eggs, 11 fertilized ...

Hello, I don't post too often anymore too busy with my twins from IVF, but I caught your post and needed to share because I was once in your shoes.  I did 4 cycles of IVF about to give up on the 4th try and switch doctors.  I was thoroughly convinced I was not pregnant due to the fact the we put back 3 horrible quality embryos I believe they were a 6C, a 4A and 4B.  I left the transfer in ...

Hi, I just wanted to try to give you some hope.  DH & I TTC for over 2 years without ever seeing a BFP.  We went through fertility drugs & 3 IUI's -all BFN. Then we went through IVF#1 with a BFN.  On our 2nd IVF though, we got that long-awaited BFP.  I am currently almost 33 weeks pg with b/g twins!  I am praying everything goes smoothly.  I know after that first IVF I was so depressed & sad...

I tried to conceive for two years, never became pregnant on my own or with Clomid. First IVF cancelled during suppression. First retrieval yielded two embryos - transferred both, and BFN. Second cycle yielded one embryo - considered cancelling transfer, but went ahead and BFP!! My son is now 13mo old. I would do it all again - all the pain and heartache is SOOOO worth it in the end! Hang ...

I hope by now you have your BFP, but here's my story... I stopped taking BCP around December 1994 because it turned me into an evil hormonal b***h. We had been married about 6 months and at that point we decided we'd be OK with it if I got PG. After about 2 years of not preventing, we moved on to actually trying. After about 2 years of that I started charting and soon after that I started ...

I have been married 7 years and had never gotten pregnant, ever! Over the course of two years, I went through 2 IUIs, which failed. Then I did two IVF cycles, both of which yielded high grade embryos. The first cycle i transferred 3 and the second I transferred two, with no luck. Then I ran out of insurance so I had to go back to my country of origin, a third world country to try again. IVF is ...
