Thread: Will anyone at Termini station speak English?

Hi all, I am needing to purchase tickets at Termini station, will the tellers there speak English? Thanks in advance

Many of them will, and there are also machines selling tickets in many languages, including English. Or you could go to any travel agent in Rome that displays the Trenitalia logo.

Not everyone will speak English, but there will be someone who does who can help you.

I recommend using the self-service ticket machines. Just press the 'English' flag option and you'll see it's very easy to use. Those at the ticket windows don't usually speak English and the ticket windows also usually have a long line. Using the ticket machines is good for avoiding lines too ;)

Thanks Ron for your terrific posting showing how to use the kiosk at the train station. Do you know if there is any problems with these machines accepting American credit cards? I seem to recall that they require some kind of chip that is only in European cards, or has this changed? Thanks
