Thread: Will This Work

Started 3 weeks, 5 days ago by Tanoru
Hi I have a laptop with a 19 inch screen. I was going to buy a 19 inch TV and I found this. http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_...p;cat egory_oid= It comes with a HDMI cable and my laptop has a HD socket thingy , would I be able to have a dual screen using the cable?

If the HD socket thingy on your laptop is HDMI, then yes it will work

=D Yes it is HDMI. What will I have to do to get Dual Screen to work. Will I just plug it in and Windows will find it and use it automatically, Windows 7 Ultimate.

you plug in the monitor and hit "win+p" i think it is, the first one is projector then theres dual screen and clone screen.

Yup I can confirm that it's Win+P. You want to choose the "Extend" setting. You can check it out even if you're not plugged into a separate screen.
